RISE Together is an online community for people living with or recovering from a cardiac condition. It offers a place to keep in touch, share experiences and find encouragement as life moves forward.
Join directly, or become part of the community through the first month included with the RISE Programme. You do not have to complete the programme before joining RISE Together.
A community you can make your own
You may want regular conversation, a familiar face to check in with or somewhere to listen when you are having a difficult day. Choose the parts of the community that feel useful to you.
RISE Connect
A members’ forum available around the clock for conversations, questions about shared experiences and everyday encouragement. Access at any time does not mean the forum is monitored continuously or provides an immediate response.
RISE Live Chat
A weekly peer-led conversation to catch up and connect. These sessions are for members to support one another; Nikki does not lead or attend them.
RISE Buddy
An optional way to get to know another member more personally. You can ask to connect with someone you have met in the community or request a suggested connection based on shared experiences and preferences.
RISE Stories
Weekly recorded stories offering different perspectives on living with a heart condition. Each person’s experience is their own, and does not predict how your recovery will unfold.
Live with Nikki
A one-hour live session, once a month, for general education and discussion. This provides professional input alongside the ongoing peer community, without replacing individual clinical care.
Friends & Family
An optional weekly live session for caregivers, including family members and friends, included in the patient’s RISE Together membership at no extra cost. Caregivers may attend in a listen-only role. Patients do not take part in these separate sessions.
RISE Resources
Helpful information and links to trusted sources to support your learning and conversations with your healthcare team.
Your community timetable
Both weekly sessions take place on Tuesdays. Their morning and evening times swap each week, so there are regular opportunities to join at different times.
| Session | Week A | Week B |
|---|---|---|
| RISE Together peer chat | 10:00am | 6:30pm |
| Friends & Family | 6:30pm | 10:00am |
The rotation continues across month boundaries. Your member calendar will show the time for each date.
Live with Nikki: one 60-minute session on a Thursday each month. The date and time will be shown in the member calendar.
All times are UK local time.
RISE Buddy works by mutual choice
You can request a connection yourself or ask RISE to suggest one. Both people must accept before a connection is made.
Optional preferences can include shared interests, broad age range, cardiac experience or procedure, stage of recovery, availability, general location and accessibility needs. You do not need to provide an exact date of birth, home address or detailed medical records for matching.
You may exchange contact details if you both freely agree. There is no expectation to do so, and you can decline a connection or stop a conversation. Please respect each other’s privacy and report concerns to RISE.
A buddy offers companionship and shared experience, not medical advice or a clinical monitoring service.
Professional input with room for peer connection
Nikki provides the monthly Live with Nikki session. Other community conversations are peer-led unless explicitly described otherwise. Membership does not include continuous access to Nikki or one-to-one clinical support.
Clear pricing
Direct membership costs £14.99 per month.
The RISE Programme includes your first month. After that, you only move to a paid membership if you actively choose to continue. There is no separate programme-completer price or additional discount.
